They also have a non-expanding foam, well not too expanding that might work better . my .002 cents worth lol

The biggest drawback would be that the stuff expands quite a bit. It could be difficult to judge just how much expansion in the model application, and could well swell up and rupture the structure when filling/ curing. Thus laying waste to ones efforts to that point.
