Thought you might be interested in seeing this.
I've been using the Mac version on a G5 Quad w/Leopard and it's very
capable. I also have the PC version and the cross compatibility is
excellent.
And while I'm sure there are those who prefer Blender's interface,
Rhino's is much more intuitive.

Rhino 5.0 - New WIP Releases
New Work In Progress (WIP) builds of Rhinoceros 5 for OS X and Windows
are available. This Mac build is now up to date with the Windows v5.0
core. There is a new Windows WIP release every week or so and an
updated Mac Rhino WIP will be released shortly after each Windows
release.
The Mac version supports 64-bit Intel, 32-bit Intel, and 32-bit
PowerPC architectures. It requires OS X 10.5 (Leopard) or later. The
Windows version supports both 64-bit and 32-bit Windows. Both
versions support 64-bit processors, so running out of memory should no
longer be a problem.
The V5 improvements that are in both versions, include: better
stability, many command enhancements, faster display speeds, display
enhancements, new commands, and new editing tools such as gumball.
Here is a complete list (Windows version)
All Mac users are invited to download and use the OS Xversion while it
is in development.
Rhino 4.0 users are invited to download and use theWindows version
while it is in development.
Notes:
We don't expect the first commercial releases to be ready any time
soon. Don't worry if the build you are using is about to expire. New
versions will be available every week or so. There will be a newer one
available before the expiration date.
The Windows version installs beside Rhino 4.0 - you can continue to
use Rhino 4.0.
Most 32-bit Windows Rhino 4.0 plug-ins will run in Rhino 5.0 32-bit
without changes. Plug-ins will need to be recompiled for 64-bit
Windows using the Rhino 5.0 SDK, as they will for Mac OS X once the OS
X SDK is available.
Enjoy,
