Hi,

Just my 2cents..

Find and clean out all temp folders on your computer and clear out your
browser's cache.

When you download something, then go back and re-download it, it's still
stored in your cache on your computer. The computer says "oh, it's already
here, so I'll just pretend to download and present the original file". This
could be one of your problems. clearing the cache will force the computer
to re-download the file.

Cleaning out the temp folders on your computer will also remove all the
damaged files from your computer (same deal with uncompressed - they
generally stay there afterwards, so you effectively have 2 copies.. but only
sometimes)

Another trick, is to hold down the control or shift key when clicking on the
refresh button of the web page. This forces the computer to actually
download a fresh copy and not use the cache on your computer. This works
with IE and Opera. I think it also works with most other browsers. Though,
depending on your provider, they also hold cached copies of a lot of popular
web sites and you have to wait for their auto cache refresh to happen. This
normally is every 24 hours. :s

Hope one of these help. ;)
