I made a set for my brother's 50th birthday.  Spades were raven hair,
Hearts were redheads, Clubs were Brunettes and Diamonds were Blonds.
All were 40's and 50's pinups with a box sealed with an American Flag
stamp.  The box cover was a young woman writing to her bo in the Navy
during WWII, just as my mother did.  I turned 110 lb card stock into
playing cards with Smith and Company penetrating epoxy from the Rot
Doctor (found on the Internet).
