I think you will be happier with a PC. The MAC is good for art work but the
PC has more ability and more control for the user. Just saying...

Thanks, they do have some nice ones. I believe I just fixed the problem, and
apparently it was conflicting software. I was cleaning up and getting rid of
old crap.  I uninstalled Avidimux (a program someone told me about that I
didn't care for) and Microsoft Visual Studio which was supposed to be just a
trial version, and should have been gone when I uninstalled it weeks ago.
The Visual Studio had over 2gb of crap that I had to uninstall a piece at a
time, including crap for a server that I don't even have, then I had to go
through my programs folder and manually delete what was left.

After all that, I thought I'd try it again and the disc works fine. I have
learned 2 things. I need to do spring cleaning more often, and my next
computer will be a Mac.
