It's been pretty quiet here so I thought I'd post a progress photo of The
Betty. So far, with only a very small number of hiccoughs, this has been a
complicated but entirely satisfying build. This is part of the hull with
one of the two "arms" connected including hydraulics and some of the
pipework. Only a couple of small and insignificant parts had minor issue,
nothing at all to get upset about, and the rest fits like a glove.

Absolute accuracy is needed with both folds and cuts to make the parts fit
properly, so any that haven't are more than likely due to my cavalier
attitude, at times, to building. Very enjoyable and highly recommended for
those after a model of this most interesting ship.

If I had thought of it earlier in the construction I would've double
layered some of the exterior panels and cut out some of the recessed parts
and glued another printed piece in from the back but too late now and
anyway, it would've added at least as much time and effort again to the
build.

More to come.
