The rear hull section is now complete along withthe cabin section and the big whizzy around thing on top. The stand is nearing completion and only one more major sub assembly to complete before final assembly.
All in all a real joy to build with only a couple of minor inconveniences in the whole thing worth commenting on. One is the stand, the centre under he base needs to be reinforced with a strip of card the same width as the sides of the base to help support the weight of the model. This isn't really necessary but I think it would sag a bit under the weight of the whole thing. The other relates to the 4 triangular braces that attach to the sides of the central column and join to the base. These need a lot of trimming to get them to fit and one of them is a different size altogether to the other three. It's not a problem, the builder just has to print the sheet twice to get four that are the same size. Photos to come when the ship is completed. A gorgeous model and worth a few hours to put together. Bones -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Papermodels II" group.
