I'm happy to learn that home printers are now being manufactured with tanks. I would prefer it over an add on. I understand that the loss of cartridge sales would make the computer more expensive. The Epson ET-2500 and ET-2550 are $380 and $400. The max print resolution of both is only 5760 x 1440. My current deadish printer has 9600 x 2400, as does the Canon MG7520 I'm looking at. I notice the quality when I print on cardstock with "High Quality". This also stops monochrome banding. Am I mistaken in thinking the higher dpi is responsible?
It's expensive to replace my printer with the same model, $580 new and $280 refurbished. One video reviewer said he had problems with WiFi on the Canon MG7520. Bones, is that what you mean? My printer is next to my computer anyway, so a cable is no problem. Barring compelling arguments, I'll most likely order the Canon MG7520. I'm looking forward to making some new age CD's and dropping them off on consignment at our herb and tea shop. I write and record music in different styles. Lately I've been playing with and learning from some amazing guitarists.
