After the war TWA President Jack Frye bought a B-17G. It had only a few flight
hours having been flown directly into storage in Oklahoma.
It was flown to Seattle’s Boeing Field where it was stripped of all its
military gear and upgraded avionics, engines, and propellers installed.
TWA's custom converted B-17G became the Model 299AB.

I found this paper model as a free download but did not record the website from
which
it was offered. The model is: Scissors & Planes 300 series by © Bruno Vanhecke.

First build went together nicely as a small conversation piece with a 5 1/2
inch wingspan.

Second build parts pages were enlarged on my computer providing a 9 1/2” wing
span.

There is more accessible Internet information for those interested in reading
about TWA’s B-17.
