This has indeed been fixed in PAR 0.65; see the '* XS Incompatibility solved' section in my release notes. And Bob -- you do _not_ need to wait PAR-0.65 to hit PPM -- PAR 0.65 comes with the ability to replace (or complement) the PPM infrastructure, implemented in a cross-platform, straightforward fashion. Just extract the .tar.gz, run Makefile.PL, and it will automatically download a compiled binary package of PAR for you to install. If you machine happens to have its FTP port blocked, please fetch the appropriate package from http://aut.dyndns.org/par/, put it under the PAR-0.65 directory, and run it again. It is my hope that the Module::Install::PAR architecture can eventually replace CPAN authors' dependency on PPM repositories for providing binary install to their users. Thanks, /Autrijus/
