Net-Telnet and PAR

I am hoping someone might be able to help me out with this.   I am having
problems using Net-Telnet.  When I create an executable file using pp on
a machine running Perl5.8 and try to run it on a machine using Perl5.6,   I
get a "Memory could not be read" error from par.exe.  If I create it on a
5.8
machine and run it on a 5.8 machine it works fine.   Any ideas?
