Here's a diff -U10000 between an strace of foo.exe built with:
Hit Send too quickly. It's a diff between two runs, one good and one bad. There are a lot of differences in the batch of files it writes, but the killer difference seems to be in around event number 256, in the bad version, a ^C (can't tell if it's really one char or two in the strace output, suspect it's one) sneaks on to the end or the filename "\??\C:\tmp\par_priv.1188.tmp\par.exe" causing an open failure.
