- Implement Ned Konz's suggestion of writing out par.exe as basename(argv[0]), in myldr/static.c.
This actually won't solve my problem, in retrospect. Since a new temp directory is chosen and extracted to each time the .exe is run, the
firewall software sees it as a new program each and every time,
regardless of the file name. My firewall rules, just today:
* .... Temp\par_priv.712.tmp\par.exe * .... Temp\par_priv.1368.tmp\par.exe * .... Temp\par_priv.500.tmp\par.exe
etc., etc.. Is there something that can be done to fix this too?
