invalid page fault in PERL56.DLL

If I build a PAR EXE on WinXP ( AcvtivePerl 5.8.2, PAR 0.76.99 ) and try 
and run it on my Windows 98 system, I get a popup "This program has 
performaned an illegal operation..... PAR has caused an invalid page 
fault in module PERL56.DLL..."
