Whew! I'm not crazy, and this rules out VMware. It also breaks for me on Win2K. I'll try the Win95 compatibility mode, but until I get to it, you might want to see if this shows any significant or useful differences between the win95 mode or not: http://razor.bindview.com/tools/desc/strace_readme.html I ran it on my foo.exe and noticed that some of the file reads got extra garbage bytes in them (IIRC), but I didn't think to try it on parl.exe. - Barrie
