PROBLEM SOLVED !
* I remove all my old perl install.
* I install perl 5.8.2
* I install PAR 0.77
C:\>pp -version
Perl Packager, version 0.05 (PAR version 0.77)
Copyright 2002, 2003, 2004 by Autrijus Tang <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
C:\>pp -d -o hello.exe hello.pl
C:\>dir hello.exe
Volume in drive C is LOCAL_C
Directory of C:\
02/01/2004 18:00 599.671 hello.exe
1 File(s) 599.671 bytes
C:\>
C:\>hello.exe
Hello, World...
Now my hello.exe is ~600K

This is most strange. Are you perhaps not using libraries shipped with ActivePerl?
Does upgrading to ActivePerl 5.8.2 and PAR 0.77 help? What is inside the
"D:/cpanrun/build/5-8-0/" directory?
