Anyway, sorry for being vague -- I meant that I'll address this problem in 0.81. And I doubt reverting to 0.79 will help -- afaik it did not work with POSIX.pm either.
Also, Date::Format provides a pure-perl implementation of strftime() -- http://search.cpan.org/dist/TimeDate/.

FWIW the 0.79 PAR works just fine with the POSIX stuff in it as I have been using it for a few months.
Thanks for the tip on the Date::Format. I'll give it a look and see if I can make it work.
