Hi,

Looking through the archives a bit, it seems that there has been some
interest in filtering source files being added to PAR archives so as to
encrypt or otherwise obfuscate the code.

I realise that there are a lot of strongly held views about the various
rights and wrongs of doing (or even trying to do ;) this, and I don't
want to re-open that whole can of worms. However, for the benefit of
those who are interested I thought that I would draw to your attention
the fact that the Filter-Crypto distribution that I have recently put up
on CPAN for doing source code encryption contains a PAR::Filter
sub-class (PAR::Filter::Crypto) to achieve exactly this.

The only prerequisite besides PAR, is an OpenSSL libcrypto library.
(The module uses any one of the symmetric cipher algorithms contained
therein to perform the encryption/decryption.)

Cheers,
- Steve
