Thanks for the reply.  There was a problem with the build options I
believe.  At any rate I rebuilt it with the correct build options and it is
now working.

It's highly likely this is the same problem that's been mulled over in the
last
cpuple of weeks (you might want to check the archives). The problem is
caused by a PAR (and more specifically pp and helper stuff) that has been
built for another version of Perl (or the same version as yours, but with
different build time options). So the first question is: where did you get
this PAR distribution? Did you build it yourself?
