Hello,
I also encountered the problem described in the following message after
installing a newer ppm version of PAR:
http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg02392.html
The error message was:
C:\ddict>a.exe
mkdir C:\DOCUME~1\bsb\LOCALS~1\Temp\par-bsb\cache-9b14370002be6c42eb830a38e8a187
fa5645c6e4/inc/lib/C:/: Invalid argument at C:/Perl/site/lib/Archive/Zip.pm
line 659
I tried manually applying that patch and the above error is gone although I
still haven't got my entire application running again yet.
C:\>perl -MPAR -e "die $PAR::VERSION"
0.959 at -e line 1.
C:\>perl -MPAR::Packer -e "die $PAR::Packer::VERSION"
0.970 at -e line 1.
C:\ddict>perl -v
This is perl, v5.8.8 built for MSWin32-x86-multi-thread
(with 25 registered patches, see perl -V for more detail)
Regards,
Brad

"Matters of small concern should be treated seriously."
