This really sounds like "pp -p" should be doing what you want. That it
does work for you is most likely a bug. When and if I find the time, I
will look at the minimal example you supplied and try to figure it out.
There have been similar bug reports but I could *never* reproduce the
freezes.
Umm- I just found out that your "temporarily" was a little too temporary
for me. Could you send the files to me via mail? Not to the sneakemail
address this is coming from but to any obvious address of my domain,
