Hi there
I'm experiencing some errors when trying to install PAR and PAR::Packer
using CPAN.
The installation seems to hang after this message:

I've forced the installation, but then got an unknown error when trying
to install PAR::Packer.

I'm running Fedora Core release 3 (Heidelberg) and perl 5.8.5.
Is there anyway to fix this or should I try to install an older version?
