BTW:
This is not the official cygwin.com perl, which has
/usr/bin/cygperl5_8.dll and corrected
import library libperl.dll.a and linker helpers. (perlld, ld2)

All perl 5.8.x main libs should be API-wise conformant,
so we removed the minor_version suffix for easier updates.

Look at your /usr/bin/perlld
Maybe you mixed up your installations.
