pp extraction of the libperl.so and other perl moduiles

Hi All,
I am observing that pp ix extracting the libperl.so into /tmp some times and 
/var/tmp some times.
I have seen directory /tmp/par-$user and /var/tmp/par-$user. Any reason for 
this.
I am using pp on 32-bit freebsd.
