You should be able to find slides of talks Audrey has given on the subject. I think it's clear from the evolution of the code that PAR came first and PAR::Packer was an afterthought. In fact, that's the main genetic defect of PAR::Packer: to implement a PerlApp-like script-to-self-contained-executable converter using PAR. Cheers, Roderich
