Did you specifically try this with Prima? Or is your confirmation based on
knowledge that PDK tracks external lib use and properly pulls them in?

Fortunately, I managed to get things working with PAR::Packer by writing a
solution very specific to my problem. My goal in this conversation is to
see if PAR::Packer's tools are powerful enough to provide a general
solution (in which case I may propose a documentation patch), or if there
is a way to enhance the tool so that it is actually as powerful as I had
assumed it was. :-)

If I ever need a more powerful solution and have a budget, I'll look into
PDK. it looks nice, and I'd be happy to support Active State.
