Hi, I want to make life easy for users of some of my Perl tools by providing binary kits. This eliminates the need for them to go through the sometimes tedious process of building a package which, as we all know, may involve installing build tools, dependent packages, and so on.
I'm looking for some volunteers that are willing to spend a small amount of their precious time to download a CPAN-compliant package and produce a binary for selected platforms. Makefiles and other PAR specific configuration is already present and tested on at least some of the platforms. Eventually we might form a build pool for PAR packaged tools. Do you like the idea? Then please join in! For a first roll-out I'm looking for 64-bit Windows (7, 8 and 10), and Mac OS/X. Most Linux flavours I can handle myself. All tools are open source and the binaries will be made generally available. -- Johan
