I cannot replicate that behavior. I've tried loading the ParaView data files bluntfin, disk_out_ref, and RectGrid2. I've tried them on the current git pull, 3.8.0-RC1, and 3.8.0-RC2. It works as expected every time.

reader -> shrink
The first time this is executed, I see the shrink of the border cells.

*and click on apply
(the result being that no change is actually sent to the server, which I can
check because the RequestData method is not called again in the reader),
then the shrink filter is refreshed and gives me the good output (the internal
cells shrinked).
