Hi, After some more digging around this problem, it seems that it only shows up for quadratic cells. It might be related to the recent evolution I saw where the wireframe representation of quadratic cells are not triangulated anymore (which is nice!). Are there quadratic cells in any test file (in ParaViewData) so that I can try to reproduce it with it?

I cannot replicate that behavior. I’ve tried loading the ParaView data
files bluntfin, disk_out_ref, and RectGrid2. I’ve tried them on the
current git pull, 3.8.0-RC1, and 3.8.0-RC2. It works as expected every
time.
