ParaView will always set it by default to (0,0,0), although the user can override it from the python if it wants to. A use case, could be if your data is not centered on (0,0,0) and you want the offset of be relative to your dataset. But this really depends on the user goal. The ParaView UI is made to work with origin set to (0,0,0)
