No, it did not work after a new pull, and scratch build. Bug changed, and the
error at the bottom of this e-mail is what I now see. Previously, before
blowing my tree away, it was trying to copy a vtk directory into the
lib/paraview-4.0/paraview executable.

That's ok, I already had some cake earlier... No need for cookies. ;-)

So just to make sure. Once you blow the build tree away, did it worked? Or not?

Thanks,

Seb

This makes sense - my update was yesterday, then when I had issues, I blew the
tree totally away and started from scratch. One of the failures had your name
Seb on one of the cmake files from two days ago. One thing that was crazy on
an earlier make install is that it was trying to copy a vtk directory into the
executable file
"/projects/viz/paraview/ParaView/4.1.0-alan/Linux-eng-sci-rhel6-x86_64/lib/paraview-4.0/paraview"
as though paraview was also a directory. Obviously, not possible.

Thanks for the reply!

Alan

p.s. - Bad Dave! Bad Seb! No cookie! :-)

Hi Alan,

This might be related to the part that we are currently working on with Dave
about the Python build/install rules.
If that's the case this should be fixed by the next gatekeeper review.

But that can only be the case if this is based on a very recent source tree (a
week old at most)

Looks like
"/projects/viz/paraview/ParaView/4.1.0-alan/Linux-eng-sci-rhel6-x86_64/lib/paraview-4.0/paraview"
couldn't be copied over. Can you check if it exists? Are you doing an
install over an already installed location?
