Yeap.... the build went pass the problem of matplotlib not finding numpy.... Can you modify the CMake source file ParaViewSuperbuild/Projects/matplotlib.build.cmake so that the line file(GLOB_RECURSE numpy-egg "${NUMPY_INSTALL_DIR}/lib/*.egg-info") is replaced with file(GLOB_RECURSE numpy-egg "${NUMPY_INSTALL_DIR}/lib64/*.egg-info") and build again? This will hopefully get you past the current build error. I'll investigate why python is being installed in install/lib64 instead of install/lib.
