are no objections in principle to moving to Git, so the discussion moves

The floor is open for questions, comments, concerns. In #parrotsketch
today I'd like to talk about volunteers to drive various pieces of the
transition. (I have some guesses who some of the volunteers might be,
based on discussions so far.)
