I have a WinXP machine and I installed Strawberry Perl 5.12.1 with gcc
4.4.3.

Meaning gnuwin32.sourceforge.net ? I also installed the PCRE 7 binaries.

When I run ".\parrot t/library/pcre_2.pir" all 5 tests pass ok. Still
wondering how to debug this.
