Thank you again for your time and effort on this. Please just apply one
more patch, the updated pcre.t.dbg_patch, which should give us diagnostic
information from the pcre library when steps 4 and 5 fail and post some
output results, if you can, from test results, preferably both where 4
fails and where 4 is ok and 5 fails.
