Related to this, I'd like to remove the dependency on po4a in
parted. Is anyone opposed to this?
Please David, explain why you want to do that? It does very well
supporting multiple language manpages in an easy way and I don't see
any reason to remove it.
It might be my lack of understanding, but I don't see why we need po4a
over GNU gettext. It seems to be the same kind of stuff. Can we not
use the msg*(1) commands from gettext to maintain multi language man
pages? How are other projects do this (or do they)?
My reason for wanting to remove it is it appears as a frontend to
gettext, which seems like a pointless requirement to me. If it's doing
something more, that's just my misunderstanding.
