Hi, I propose to have libparted not clobber the BootCode area in the PMBR when editing GPT labels.
Reasoning: There is no way to partition current RAID-Devices (and single disks in 2009) utilizing their full capacity without destroying the only supported mean of booting in current consumer x86 systems. See my post in Debian Bug #504747 [1] for a more detailed discussion. Are there any specific reasons why not clobbering the BootCode area might be A Bad Thing? best regards, Michael [1] http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=504747#28 _______________________________________________ parted-devel mailing list [email protected] http://lists.alioth.debian.org/mailman/listinfo/parted-devel
