To summarize: I think we are about 95% ready, with respect to the bug list. The remaining 5% are the following action items: 1. Make the md test a little better. Might be a good idea to make little modifications to the current state of the test and wait until after the 1.9.0 release. 2. Make sure 8 and 9 are solved. This will have to wait for gnu mailing lists to start working again. 3. Some peer review on the whole patch set.
