Parted's FS-dependent code is broken, and should be removed ASAP,
before even more people rely on it and lose data.
Since "move" currently relies on that code, it risks
being a temporary casualty.
Oh ok, sounds good. Do either of you have any interest in taking this
on? It sounds like Curtis has good familiarity with both sides so would
be in a good position to try and migrate it over to libparted. If not
I'll stick it on my queue of things to do and try to get around to it at
some point.
It sounds worthy, but won't make it to the front of my queue any
time soon. Before doing that, I want to make a bug-fix release,
and then remove all FS-related code.
I agree that this enhancement to parted would be worthwhile, though it
too has a lower priority to me than other changes.
