"Weasel vendors" ouch, I resemble that remark. Or did you mean Paul? ;)
Adrian, I do have a couple of thoughts- First, it is OK to take a break. Maybe set a specific timeframe of X days/weeks to involve yourself in the rest of life, then return to focus on your content creation and such projects. Second, look at things from a different angle. I assume most of us on this list are more likely to be trench-level than management or certainly executive- check out some of the blog posts, articles, etc. from the RSA conferences or other more business/management focused venues. These may give you new insights into aspects of the industry you haven't considered. They could also make you so mad that the blood boils in your veins and you go into a wild, foaming at the mouth rant that would upstage even the PDC crew. Either way, we can call it motivation. Finally, Shmoocon is coming up and that should be motivating. Depend on your point of view it is either: yeah, but that's still a month away or holy crap, I'll never be ready in less than four weeks. I'm the latter, so I gotta get back to a presentation and a ShmooBus Jack -- ______________________________________ Jack Daniel, Reluctant CISSP http://twitter.com/jack_daniel http://www.linkedin.com/in/jackadaniel http://blog.uncommonsensesecurity.com _______________________________________________ Pauldotcom mailing list [email protected] http://mail.pauldotcom.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/pauldotcom Main Web Site: http://pauldotcom.com
