For me, the biggest thing I had to overcome was realizing that if I focused on everything that could (and in most cases _should_) be done, I get completely overwhelmed. So, just give up trying to swim faster than the river's currant, and swim at your own pace instead.
How about this - you're putting together your material for an audience, so how about letting your audience inform what you're going to work on? Perhaps having a clear mandate from the people who use your information and find it valueable will help supply the motivation to get done the things that provide the most value to everyone. Digg model, web poll, whatever. Then commit yourself to a reasonable timeframe (because you do have a day job and need to step away from the KB for awhile) and commit to meeting it. BTW - no amount of drugs, whether it's caffine, nootropics, nicotine, ritlin or meth, is going to help, unless you actually have a specific, clinical ADHD diagnosis. Based on what I know of the literature (and I've looked - focus is a constant problem for me) most compounds that people think improve concentration only increase your *perceived* concentration, and don't actually correlate to actual results, when studied in a well-controlled, double-blind fashion. Meditation (which is the eastern-woo way of getting some rest) also helps. - Chris Merkel On Sat, Jan 9, 2010 at 9:42 AM, Adrian Crenshaw <[email protected]>wrote: > Nice idea Robin, here is my current notes list for video ideas.
