Its not Paul, its me and what I want to do is to experiment with setting up and sniffing VLANs. Things like, can I hop VLANs easily, if I put a sniffer at point X what can I see, what about point Y? If I can do this in a VM lab then it is much easier to do than to do it in the physical world. So I want to get the VirtualBox internal switch/router to handle 802.1q packets. Does that make sense?
