Some attended the Butterworth Congress, while some decided to stay
away from it. Not all those who attended the congress are in favour of
what is happening in PAC, but were trying everything to take PAC away
from Letlapa and his group with the aim of taking it back to the
people who are in branches. Let's go to those who chose to stay away
from the Butterworth procedings. This group is divided in two. One
group is saying PAC need a platform that will give a way foward, but
my question is, how will that happen without being seen as another
group within PAC, while that is claiming to be genuine? Let us
remember we need the power of PAC to legitemise any platform and
without that power we are meeting as an interest group. If Letlapa is
calling himself a president and is occupying the offices that are seen
as that of PAC and we are not in support of that happening then we
don't have much options except as an interest group of the party. The
second group did not attend, because they have hopes in court ruling
being in their favour to do away with Letlapa. We must remember court
will rule in favour of those who presents their case clearly. Let us
be hypothetical preparing our hearts for the worse that might happen.
Let us say the court rule in favour of Letlapa, then what will be the
next step? Those who went to Butterworth were trying every avenue to
take away PAC from Letlapa and his group, therefore should not be seen
as outsiders. Like those who are going to court are trying to take
away PAC from Letlapa and his group, therefore should not seen
outsiders. I should ask myself what am I doing to save PAC in order to
take it back to the people except being intellectual in approach and
speach and not initiating anything to do away with Letlapa and his
group?
