In the final analysis, no true Pan-Africanist party can exist and operate in isolation from all other Pan-Africanist parties in the African world. During local election times such as what we now see in the Republic of Ghana, it is somewhat understandable that the focus is primarily micro-nationalistic. However, we face elections at the most once every four years or so. What do we do between elections such as now in the Republic of South Africa? Ought we not be busy collaborating with ZANU-PF in Zimbabwe preparing for the eventual Unification of Africa? Or perhaps we should consider merging with the Convention People’s Party in Ghana. In the Handbook of Revolutionary Warfare, on page 56, Osagyefo Dr, Kwame Nkrumah called for the convening of the All-African Committee of Political Coordination. He goes on to define the AACPC as an instrument “Toassisttheprocessofitsformation,anAll-AfricanCommitteeforPoliticalCo ordination(AACPC)shouldbeestablishedtoactasaliaisonbetweenallpartieswhichrecognisetheurgentnecessityofconduct-inganorganisedandunifiedstruggleagainstcolonialismandneo-colonialism.ThisCommitteewouldbecreatedatthelevelofthecentralcommitteesoftherulingpartiesandstrugglingparties,andwouldconstitutetheirintegratedpoliticalconsciousness. ThustheAACPCwouldemergeastheorganisationalinstrumentofaunitedstruggle,andacentralisinganddis-ciplinaryorganprovidingpennanentcontactwiththemassesandwiththescatteredcentresoftheirrevolutionaryactivi-ties.Suchco-ordinationwouldunifyrevolutionaryactionofthevanguardAfricanterritoriesandwouldenablethemtoexertdecisiveinfluenceontherevolutionaryliberationmovementbyallowingthemtoparticipateactively in it.” (Kwame-Nkrumah-Handbook-of-Revolutionary-Warfare-A-Guide-to-the-Armed-Phase-of-the-African-Revolution-2) This is why I insist that new Pan-Africanists always keep a copy of the Handbook nearby. Any Pan-Africanist who is not familiar with this passage cannot be taken seriously. So Comrades, I urge each of us to take effective steps to coordinate our various Pan-Africanist parties with the view of using such coordination for the IMMEDIATE Unification of Africa. It is obvious now where ANC stands. And we must no longer allow them to hold back progress by setting arbitrary dates in the unforeseeable future. Those who sincerely want Unification, want it now, right now. Once we take the steps necessary to form AACPC, we will take the power base we need to Unify Africa thereby being able to solve such problems as we now face with the oppreesion of our brothers who risk their lives daily in the mines so that we can enjoy some of the benefits of international trade.
