I stand in full agreement with the suggestions made by Comrade Abdurrahman
Nelson. I have also had several conversations with Pan-Africanists who are
assigned by their work places for periods of time to work in areas like
Tanzania and Nigeria in east and west Africa respectively, and they express
concern to apply their spare time for revolutionary solidarity with the like
minded political parties. We have also had Africanists from the US in
particular coming to do work to assist the PAC and other organisations that are
serous about the African Revolution. We must do more in a strategic and
structured fashion. I would be willing to spend my time, capability and
resources on this programme.
Two weeks ago I spent a day in Tshwane with Cde Itumeleng Johnson, who had been
a PAC chief representative in Guinea Conakry for years before 1994. He was
close to the late Kwame Toure and told me interesting anecdotes on their many
connections and time together. Kwame Toure for instance came to live in Guinea
with his wife Miriam Makeba on a mission to learn and work for the same
purposes described in the Handbook on Revolutionary Warfare. Itumeleng says
Kwame Toure once specifically gave him a tongue lashing for having gone to
Toure's house after a trip abroad to brief him on developments but since Toure
was said to be ill in bed, he left to return another day. Kwame Toure told
Itumeleng that he had failed in revolutionary duty to insist on waking him up
and relay the information. Revolutionaries do not have the right to enjoy the
luxury of day dreaming and spending time without purpose. Toure learned this
from the laps of Asagyefo. Itumeleng says he had never felt do sorry in his
life. The point I am making is that there is no excuse not to follow the
suggestion made and that each one of us with the means and time can sacrifice
and spend time in solidarity with other Pan Africanists on revolutionary duty.
It is the right thing to do.
The OAU and the AU in modern times restrict governments from interfering in the
internal affairs of other countries. That is why the ANC sanctioned its youth
wing against making statements on the ruling party in Botswana. The OAU/AU is
founded on the premise of the doctrine of uti possedetis - to counteract
revolutionary Pan Africanism. This doctrine is specific that there will be no
messing up with colonially inherited boundaries, which shall stay as they are
from conception of the OAU until this side of eternity. (Thabo Mbeki's
generation of state leaders merely reformed the organisation and pleaded for
western democracy in the internal machinery of these countries.) The
conservatives won the day in making this a foundation stone for the OAU/AU
against the position of the Casablanca group led by Kwame Nkrumah, Abdel Nasser
and Sekou Toure. The conservatives were protecting western interests - see
how neo-colonialism destabilised the programme of revolutionary Pan Africanism
since then. Under modern day conditions, it is not wrong for locals to go out
and provide expertise and humanitarian assistance in the rest of the continent.
I believe the support for say ZANU-PF and the Convention Peoples Party in
their election campaigns falls in these categories and must be taken up without
qualms.
Revolution. Let's do this.

In the final analysis, no true Pan-Africanist party can
exist and operate in isolation from all other Pan-Africanist parties in the
African world. During local election times such as what we now see in the
Republic of Ghana, it is somewhat understandable that the focus is primarily
micro-nationalistic. However, we face elections at the most once every four
years or so. What do we do between elections such as now in the Republic of
South Africa? Ought we not be busy collaborating with ZANU-PF in Zimbabwe
preparing
for the eventual Unification of Africa? Or perhaps we should consider merging
with the Convention People’s Party in Ghana.

In the Handbook of Revolutionary Warfare, on page 56,
Osagyefo Dr, Kwame Nkrumah called for the convening of the All-African Committee
of Political Coordination. He goes on to define the AACPC as an instrument

“Toassisttheprocessofitsformation,anAll-AfricanCommitteeforPoliticalCo
ordination(AACPC)shouldbeestablishedtoactasaliaisonbetweenallpartieswhichrecognisetheurgentnecessityofconduct-inganorganisedandunifiedstruggleagainstcolonialismandneo-colonialism.ThisCommitteewouldbecreatedatthelevelofthecentralcommitteesoftherulingpartiesandstrugglingparties,andwouldconstitutetheirintegratedpoliticalconsciousness.

in it.”
(Kwame-Nkrumah-Handbook-of-Revolutionary-Warfare-A-Guide-to-the-Armed-Phase-of-the-African-Revolution-2)
This is why I insist that new Pan-Africanists always keep a copy of the
Handbook nearby. Any Pan-Africanist who is not familiar with this passage
cannot be taken seriously.

So Comrades, I urge each of us to take effective steps to
coordinate our various Pan-Africanist parties with the view of using such
coordination for the IMMEDIATE Unification of Africa. It is obvious now where
ANC stands. And we must no longer allow them to hold back progress by setting
arbitrary dates in the unforeseeable future. Those who sincerely want
Unification,
want it now, right now. Once we take the steps necessary to form AACPC, we will
take the power base we need to Unify Africa thereby being able to solve such
problems as we now face with the oppreesion of our brothers who risk their
lives daily in the mines so that we can enjoy some of the benefits of
international trade.
