Afrikanists,

Seemingly people have been waiting for an opportunity to express their long
held views about the current PAYCO leadership, how I wish such views and
interest in PAYCO were expressed during difficult times of parallel structures
and "dis-ownership".

While its our mandate as individual PAC members to permeate and swell the ranks
of community structures for the purpose of advancing an Afrikanist cause or
agenda in such forums, we must ensure that we don't just drag the entire
organisation, especially when there is no policy position.

This as PAYCO Leadership we raise as a matter of principle. The matter of
participating as a structure has to be properly managed so that history does
not judge us harshly for opportunistically aligning ourselves, as a Structure
(PAYCO), with enemy agents or campaigns that may tarnish our integrity.

Therefore in principle we are not opposed to individual members projecting and
representing Afrikanist views in such forums but organisationally or
structurally we must rigorously engage a report from that individual member and
then collectively decide on our participation or lack thereof.

PAYCO President was simply providing leadership so that the organisation is not
entangled or held to ransom by individual member's participation in such forums.

Our individual desire to participate and therefore get recognition must not
cloud our collective rationality and deter the organisation in its
revolutionary pursuits.

MoAfrika Ndebele

No NGO wil define and determine PAC nor PAYCO policy position such a task
remains as an internal organisational-party matter. Not all NGO's are funded by
western capitalist agencies, there are formations such as Abihlali Ba Se
Mjondolo and also the former Iscor Workers NGO's and many other formations
which are driven and led by genuine community and workers' leaders which as the
party and also PAYCO can develop tactical political relationship.

Party cadres will understand for long the party has been detached from daily
struggles waged by communities and various community based organisation, now
the conditions demand upon us to close and occupy the political space by being
vocal and forming part of these struggles. Also, it is in these platforms that
those funded by capitalist should be exposed and deprived space not to misleas
and misinform the masses.

The bottom line is cyber space militancy which lacks practical actions on
ground serves no purpose. The only basis to build a vibrant PAYCO and the party
is when political work is integrate with daily struggles of the African
communities and workers. Absence of action creates a political space for other
forces of either reaction and counter revolutionary to occupy, and this becomes
a disservice to the party and also goes against the very slogan of PAYCO
programme being " Ideolise, Organise and Take Over (IOTA)".

I can only hope as PAYCO leadership, there will be a principled convergence of
ideas on this matter.
