Don't know if this will help, but SQR Crossfader is a plugin for winamp
which will either produce no gaps or will crossfade, depending on the
settings you use.

Cheers,
Brett.

Subject: Re: Gaps between tracks

Thanks to all for your ideas. I have more info now.

To those who suggested that I combine the files into one file, I could
have produced it that way in the first place -- and still might do
so -- but my purpose was to allow skipping between tracks on the CD
with the skip to next track button rather than having to fast forward
through a track.

As far as setting the software to have no gaps, as I said in my
original message, I had already done that. The gaps were set to 0
sectors, 0 seconds.

In case it wasn't obvious, this is an audio CD. When I posted my
original message, I had tried playing the CD on my PC using winamp and
on my Riovolt portable CD player. The gaps were apparent on both
players. Just for kicks, I put the CD into a boom box and there are
no gaps.

Therefore, it seems to be the player that is the problem, not the
burner or CD.

What's the deal with these players that put gaps where they hadn't
ought to be?
