hi, shashi.
yes, these 2 cards can co-exist on one machine. I have the same setup on my own machine, and they work wonderfully together. I use my original audigy card for jaws, and my new nx audigy 2 for the rest of my audio, and everything works great. Just make sure you install the software, hook up the unit to a usb port on your machine, and then go into sounds under settings and control pannel. Look for the audio tab, and make sure your new card is set as the default playback device, hit apply then ok, and all should be well. If you want jaws to use your other sound card and your audio to come through the new audigy 2, I can give further instructions on that a little later. This should get you going for now though.

Hello friends, Sincere thanks to all those who kindly responded to my query about installing an external U. S. B. Audigy nx sound card and possible conflict with the existing sound blaster internal sound card. Shane, his surname escapes me was one among them.
Hi Shane, please forgive me for erasing your reply accidentally in the process of saving it for future close scrutiny. Would you please rkindly resend it for me or get in touch with me so that I have your e-mail address, at least? I would be most grateful. Best regards. Shashi.
