Hello Lisa, what you really want for converting CD's to MP3 is a converter programme which will do the job in one hit for you. There are several of these around and luckily, some good accessible ones. three that come to mind are Easy CDA Extractor (about twenty dollars), CDEX (Free) and the one that I prefer at the moment called AudioGrabber which is free.
If you do a google search for any of these, it should find them but any problems at all, just give me a shout.
