How easy is Total Recorder to use to edit files

Hi 
    Have Total Recorder standard edition. Would upgrade to professional version if it 
can do what I want. I  want to know how easy it is to edit files using a screen reader 
, Need to take out silence at the beginning and end of a mp3 file. Can you fast 
forward to the end of a file quickly?
